Exhibition Stand Design Brief

Dubai sports City is the worlds first purpose-built sports city. Set on 50 million square feet of land the city will feature four state of the art stadia ranging from 60,000 to 10,000 in capacity. The client is seeking a viable option that will give them corporate standing as the biggest project of its kind in the Middle East. The stand must be easily accessible and encourage a sporty mood as the client aims to enrol a diverse range of sporting talent into its specialist academies. This may be achieved by incorporating interactive features. Rationale In order to keep the stand accessible, staggered and off-set tube work and fabric structures have been created. The structures allow for easy access and a clear pathway through the stand so that the various enrolling areas can be visited easily. In addition, the structures also create and interesting look that will set this exhibition stand apart from others in the hall. Responding specifically to the stand being interactive plasmas have been applied to the various walls created by the nature of the design. These could be used for video games to attract potential students with more thought given to the physical aspect by creating areas for a putting green and mini-basketball court at either end of the stand.
