Exhibition Stand Design Brief

VT Group provides a wide range of communication, education and manufacturing services from military organisations to the commercial sector worldwide.

For this show (DSEi) VT Group are keen to demonstrate principally their shipbuilding capabilities and then communicate a wide range of other services that they are able to provide. It is the client’s intention to bring a Royal Navy frigate to the Thames while the show is running in the adjacent exhibition hall. The powerful presence of the frigate needs to be reflected in the exhibition stand and dominate the hall.

Full use of the height of the hall has been suggested and this may be achieved in the use of hanging structures with the intention of communicating VT’s dominant position in the marketplace.

However, it is vitally important that the stand also provides a professional feel and that consideration be given to, in particular, a private meeting room (achieving a boardroom type feel) and a stage that will allow presentations to run throughout the day.

Exhibition Stand Design Rationale

In order to maximise the full height available to us three 5 metre cubes have been designed with the intention of rigging them from the hall roof. The cubes will be constructed from tube work and white fabric so that soft colour changing lighting can be utilised to achieve a dramatic effect.

To answer the brief in terms of client engagement a double deck structure has been included so that refreshments can be served in an informal setting. For more formal meetings a private boardroom will provide a quiet environment away from the inevitably high noise levels at this particular show.

On the front left hand side of the stand an aluminium extrusion and stand-off acrylic wall will provide an elegant surround for four plasma screens that will run promotional and corporate films showcasing all that VT Group have to offer.
