Exhibiting at the Events Event with a fantastic Nimlok exhibition stand

Posted on: January 24th, 2012 No Comments

Last week we exhibited at The Events Event at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on Thursday 19th January with a great example of one of our modular displays.

Our stand really had the wow factor with impactful design and creative branding- it really stood out from the crowd at the event. We hope you will agree it was a lovely looking exhibition display.

Interactive audio visual

We utilized our brand builder jigsaw puzzle on our interactive screen which was placed on a Nimlok counter which was a great lead generation tool. Visitors had to de-scramble some images of our fantastic exhibition stands and create the picture in the fastest time.

Congratulations to Alistair Brookes from JDRF (a charity which exists to find the cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications, and is the world’s leading charitable funder of type 1 diabetes research).

We also showcased our exhibition display portfolio on a large 42inch screen with a rolling presentation of images.

Some big name leads made the event a great success for us- and we hope that our valuable leads from the show will come to fruition.

Top tips for getting visitors to our exhibition stand- Before the event

Although we always suggest having a fantastic exhibition stand whether it is hired, modular or custom modular often many companies neglect inviting their key current and potential clients to visit them.

We have put together some top tips to help you ensure your companies attendance at an event ends up fruitful rather than fruitless!

Consider who will be attending- this will really help you plan out the best ways to attract your audience. You don’t want to promote your event to the wrong people and you certainly don’t want to lose out on those you really want to see.

Use your website- Publicise your attendance at the event on your website. Your website gives the chance for you to promote all aspects of your exhibition stand including competition, interactive content and promotions.

Create bespoke materials- Why not create a microsite, event email or content about your attendance. You can go into real detail about your stand and onsite promotions and send your selected audience with a very specific message to your event.

Content is king- Writing about your attendance and spreading it across the social media world is a sure fire way to spread your message.

Use the shows website- make sure you have access to the exhibitor section of the show website and complete your company profile. There are also lots of other marketing opportunities available to you within the site so make sure you take advantage.

Advertise-Advertising in the event show guide or your industry magazines can be a great way to get exposure to your target audience. Many of these sources also advertise online now too.

Sponsor- Events always have sponsorship opportunities and tend to be as big as your budget stretches but it can be a great ‘on the day’ reminder of your brand for the visitors.

Our team always want to help you out every step of the way with your event. You can find out more about otherways we can support you with your event at our website. Just click here

Starting off the right way in 2012

Posted on: January 10th, 2012 No Comments

In November we had the pleasure of hosting the annual Starting off training awards ceremony at our brand new showroom based in Wellingborough. Starting Off is a fantastic scheme which finds employment and training opportunities for young people.

I have been working at Nimlok for over five years and have been part of the Starting Off scheme since 2008. Nimlok are keen advocates of supporting training of young people and have nurtured over 6 employees through work based learning.

The event which was hosted on 25th November saw over 100 attendees at the Nimlok head office and our showroom was the perfect setting for such a ceremony.

The showroom is a fantastic presentation space as well as showcasing the variety of our range from portables products to our useful hire architecture.

I had the pleasure of also receiving an award (my second NVQ for Business and Administration level three) from the guest presenter of the day, Paralympian David Holding. David talked of his past as a medal winning Paralympics racer and how he had also started a course with Starting off after retirement. It was amazing to hear that he had won many medals for racing, marathons, 100m and 250m.

It was a great day for all and the Evening Telegraph even attended the event and put an article in their next issue about the proud apprentice’s of 2011 collecting their awards.

It’s a great achievement to the apprentice’s that attended the event and collected their awards. David in particular was a fantastic influence on the day and spurred many of us to consider going on to achieve our next NVQ.

It was an honour for Nimlok to be involved in such a prestigious event and I am looking forward to continuing to apply the skills I have learnt through Starting off here at Nimlok.

Hire your exhibition stand

Posted on: January 6th, 2012 No Comments

Exhibition stand hire can deliver a winning combination of design and value. Upwards of 80% of your stand framework, walling, counters, doors and lighting can be hired at the fraction of the purchase price.
You can still combine hire with bespoke elements and graphics to maximize impact and brand the stand as your own. With Nimlok Hire doesn’t mean ‘old’ as we ensure that they keep only the best inventory in stock so that you receive the best materials.
Hire also doesn’t mean that you will have to have a particular ‘look and feel’ which will have been used by many companies or you will see at the same event, you can really make a hire stand your own by utilizing exhibition stand designers to make the most out of hired materials.
Hire can really be great if you have a limited budget as hire stands can be considerably cheaper than a purchased equivalent. Our brochure is downloadable if you want to find out more click here.
Many companies utilise a hire stand if they are about to go through a rebrand or have a seasonal promotion and don’t want to make a big investment with an owned stand when you won’t be able to utilise it again. When you don’t exhibit very often or even want to test out exhibiting for the first time hiring can be a great alternative too.

Many overseas exhibitiors also hire stands and rebrand them with their international messages.

When hiring a stand you will save yourself money on storage and won’t have any additional charges of refurbishment which can be an extra cost saving. And you can still get Nimlok to deliver, install and dismantle your displays.
