Nimlok Clients Steal the Show

Nimlok and some of our customers had a busy week last week at the National Association for Pension Funds exhibition with six stunning exhibition stands produced by us appearing at the event.

The National Association of Pension Funds is one of the most influential industry bodies in pensions and last week they hosted the NAPF Annual Conference and Exhibition at Manchester Central between the 19th-21st October attracting 1,000 top industry professionals.

We were delighted to have produced six of the almost 60 exhibition stands at the event especially given the profile of their clients at the event, working for the leading brands with some of the larger spaces at the show.  Many of the stands also featured Nimlok’s new AV Hire equipment and engaging interactive content produced by their sister agency VU creative.

Stands were produced for Threadneedle, Aon Hewitt, Metlife, Zurich, American Century and Moneywise which was a fantastic opportunity forus to demonstrate our ability to manage the delivery, set up and breakdown of multiple projects at a single event to the high standards our client’s expect, showing that no task is too big for our dedicated team of 96 staff based at our Northamptonshire HQ and fabrication facility.

Our MD (James Rook) said that “It’s fantastic to realize such a high proportion of the leading exhibitors at this event and a credit to our stand designers and colleagues at VU that our winning combination of stand and content design is hitting the mark in so many areas of Financial Services.  NAPF is just one of a number of events in this sector where Nimlok have helped multiple entities achieve their exhibiting goals, including TRADETECH, AIRMIC, FERMA and Professional Pensions”.

With digital content your imagination can go wild….

I was watching the launch of the new iphone 4S with interest the other day with people queuing days to get the latest release.

It made me realise how new technology can really have such an impact on us. I am the worst for being glued to the latest applications and gadgets on my phone but at the same time- I adore it.

The fact I can do so much with one gadget in my handbag is really amazing.

And at Nimlok our in-house Audio Visual Department and creative team at VU combine the best of the latest technology and coolest creative’s to help our customers to have the biggest impact on their stands. Fun games, slick animations or informative interactive elements to your stand are a great way to attract traffic.  Surveys can be incorporated into content in order to engage prospects as well  capture data.

VU creative recently created a fantastic approach for City & Guilds to engage young people using digital technology. They created a virtual mixing desk where budding DJ’s could interact with the screen and  upload their mix to their own Facebook page taking city and guilds message to a much wider audience.

They produced a kiosk-based eco-brochure that ticked a range of boxes. As well as housing an electronic prospectus, it held links to the client’s Facebook app, website and videos and an interactive quiz facility. It also gave users the ability to select content and email it on.

Two events planned for 2012 so far…

We have just started booking in some events for next year to showcase some of our great services that we offer at Nimlok.

So far we are going to be attending:

The Events Event at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on Thursday 19th January 2012 on Stand C2!

This is a great event in Scotland for those people who organise events, meetings and corporate hospitality. We will be on Stand C2 so pop along for a visit.


International Confex at Excel, London between 6th-8th March 2012 on Stand G720 connects event organisers with an exciting range of venues, destinations and support services. Providing the perfect forum to do business and source all the essentials for any kind of event.

We always try to make our stands as exciting as possible so we utilise our in-house design company VU Creative (who we also recommend to our customers) to help us come up with exciting and creative ways to attract visitors to our stand. They will also help us develop some fun interactive content for the stand working with our in-house Audio visual service.

We already have some ideas and objectives for our stand and are hoping to utilize elements from our hire architecture which we also offer to our customers. The hire architecture takes elements of walling, aluminium framework, counters, doors, plinths and lights to create unique custom designs. It’s ideal for clients seeking maximum impact without a longer term investment and storage costs.
