All the lead information you gather at the show must be recorded in a contact management database. In addition to the basic information for each prospect, record the additional detailed information gathered on the lead card not forgetting to include the sales representative assigned to the lead. Encourage your sales people to take proper notes at the show so that the information visitors are interested in is properly conveyed to the representative following up the lead. Make sure your sales people are not going through the same information given at the show when they meet with the prospect after the show. If this happens it shows a lack of communication and proper preparation as well as sending negative messages to the prospect about doing business with your company.
