Nimlok take a break from exhibition stand solutions

After a busy end of year period at Nimlok exhibition stand solution head office, the staff took time out to review the fundraising events of 2006 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

From a quiz night, rounders match, cricket match, an evening at dog racing, win-a-days holiday raffle, £1 in the pot when late into a meeting, bring / buy a book, clay shooting with clients and a Halloween fancy dress party, not only did the exhibition staff have a great time socialising together, they also raised a large sum of money for their chosen charity, Macmillan Cancer Support.

Community Fundraisers for Macmillan Cancer Support, Amanda Drage and Lisa Donald attended Nimlok House for presentation of the cheque on 5th February 2007. The Evening Telegraph (a local newspaper) sent a photographer to capture the event and an article will be printed in the paper later this month.

A group of Nimlok exhibition stand staff gathered in the Nimlok showroom as HR Manager for Nimlok, Diane Walton presented the cheque for £2,035.68. Diane expressed “Macmillan was introduced as the Nimlok charity for 2006 – a charity that helps support people affected by cancer from the point of diagnosis and providing support for them and their families. It is an extremely worthwhile cause and I would sincerely like to thank everyone for helping to raise this fantastic amount” .

This sum now brings the total raised by Nimlok staff for local charities, in the last 4 years, to just £11.00 short of £8,000.00.

Amanda Drage, Macmillan Cancer Support fundraiser, commented “We are so grateful for your efforts; this is the most anyone has raised just by pure fundraising in the Northamptonshire area. The money will be used in the Northamptonshire area only to support those suffering with cancer. Thank you so much” .

Nimlok’s chosen charity for 2007 is The British Heart Foundation.
