Nimlok reach out to local schools with exhibition career advice

Nimloks’ main business is providing exhibition and event solutions worldwide, and through our career support link with local schools we are able to give students an insight into local business at the “sharp end” of international trade. This is a great opportunity for us to extend our expertise to the local community and help give students the best possible direction in their careers.

With over 15 years experience, HR Manager, Diane Walton gets face to face with students discussing everything from presentation and CV skills, to career advice and interview techniques. In the last six months alone, Diane has presented workshops and has had one to one interview sessions with over 400 students from various schools around Northamptonshire. These include Wellingborough School, Wollaston School, Friars School (Wellingborough), Campion School (Bugbrooke) and specialist events at KLV including the Northants 96 recruitment event.

Diane commented ‘A lot of time and effort goes into these events by everyone involved in them. I personally feel that it is valuable time spent as it assists local students in taking the next step in careers and boosts their confidence in the skills required to do so. It is good for Nimlok to be giving something back to the local community and I hope to be involved in many more of these events in the not too distant future’.
