We’re pleased to announce that we won the International Confex award for Best Marketing Campaign!
The award recognises Nimlok for our marketing campaign to drive people toward our stand using the prospect of people winning a Porsche Boxster (for 72 hours).
It also recognises our communication plan to raise awareness of the conference and our offering through a number of different media.
Good and relevant giveaways
Not only was the car hire prize an amazing giveaway, but it was also relevant to our exhibition stand.
The concept of a prestige hire car created awareness that hiring an exhibition stand not only offers a prestige product, but also has far reaching benefits of no commitment, no long term investment and no associated costs like storage.
For a chance of winning the prize people need to take part in our ‘Aim Hire’ digital shooting range. As well as showcasing digital engagement techniques, the game also captured key data (name, contact details and preferences) which we can use for future marketing activity.
Capturing key data is really important for events and exhibitions. By capturing data through a fun and digital game, we didn’t need to carry around clipboards and paper to collect this data – saving precious time after the conference in terms of deciphering email addresses!
We also used other opportunities to discuss our exhibition stand and the conference using social media, pre-show emails and a video to be streamed live at the event!
Hire a stand and save the environment
We won this award for our concept of linking prestige car hire to hiring an exhibition stand, but behind this fun campaign is a serious matter. We believe that hiring exhibition stands is the future. Not only does hiring allow people to use a smaller budget (in comparison to buying) but they also help businesses to tackle climate change. This topic was a take home message for many people attending the International Confex and was highlighted by politician John Prescott during his keynote speech.
John said that, “Climate change is going to affect this world by 2050 in a way much more fundamental than the economic financial crisis, and it has already started. We need to take climate change seriously and start the debate. ”
We’re pleased that this important topic is beginning to be discussed and hope that people will consider hiring an exhibition stand as a solution to tackling this issue in the future!
