New Year’s Resolutions for exhibiting in 2016

January 4, 2016 | Laura Baines

New Year's resolutions

With the New Year now upon us, it’s that time again to consider setting a few New Year’s resolutions to motivate yourself and your team for exhibiting in 2016.

We’ve taken four common New Year’s resolutions and applied them to help your exhibiting programme:

  • Be more organised – Plan as far ahead as you can. This year get your stand space booked early, and choose your stand build partner in plenty of time to deliver a brilliant brief. Outline your pre-show, during show and post-show campaign programme so the team are organised at delivering timely updates, emails and content to your audience. Most of all don’t forget to measure your results!
  • Learn or do something new – Whatever the aim of your exhibition presence, why not try out something new; a new piece of technology, learn how to get the most out of your social media, or create a new engagement tool for your stand? Whatever you choose to do or learn just make sure it’s relevant and achievable, and makes it easier for you to meet your exhibiting goals.
  • Update your look – With any luck, the New Year brings a new healthier budget for your exhibiting programme, including a fresh new look for your stand or campaign. Even if not, Nimlok can offer a wide range of architecture and design features which can allow you to start afresh or simply update your exhibition stand’s style.
  • Be a better friend – Don’t forget that exhibiting is more than just lead generation or brand awareness for example. Once you have a valuable connection to someone, nurture the relationship into a long-term one. Keep in touch after an event, not just because you have to make a sale, but because you feel you have something valuable to share with them. That way you should generate valuable long-term customer relationships.
