We have been shortlisted as a finalist for the AEO Excellence Awards 2013 as stand design and build supplier of the year.
Here’s an example of Nimlok’s holistic approach to exhibiting strategy. Our client, Capita, wanted to drive maximum visitors to their stand, engage with them via digital and social media, create interest and leads as well as raise awareness of their products and services through the stand presence.
It’s in the bag
Capita’s brief was to help them stand out in the large exhibition hall at ExCel. Our ability to pre-build and show the client elements of their stand in our workshop impressed.
Capita required a stand with 20 demonstration screen pods, a theatre style presentation area, a seamless plasma wall and a SIMS Independent customer meeting area, so scale was a key challenge.
Yet our ‘journey’ approach ensured these elements worked together to engage visitors. The key to this was working within Capita’s brand guidelines to ensure no element of the large stand felt disparate.
We began by using a high-level cube to draw visitors to the stand from across the hall and ensure high-impact from long range. Augmented reality triggers within the stand walls engaged visitors and provided visitors with a brief overview of Capita’s key solutions for education.
Demo units were designed on the perimeter to draw people in, and the internal space under the main cube left clear for conversation. By having such a large and impactful presence, Capita wanted to create a buzz and control the environment under the cube.
This was supported by innovative ‘talking bags’. Produced in bright colours, with the strapline ‘Be outstanding’, the bags offered interactive content including video. To access the content, visitors downloaded an application to their mobile device.
The ‘Be outstanding’ message was complemented by social media, including a Twitter hashtag. More than 100 new Twitter followers were secured, and 232 hashtag tweets.
Content was still being downloaded weeks after the event and the client’s feedback was it was their ‘best ever’ year at this conference.
Alex Cook, Marketing Manager – Education, Capita comments:
“I would happily recommend Nimlok, they have been a pleasure to work with, they have a strong focus on helping companies achieve their event objectives and have used their experience to make this typically stressful activity as simple as possible. ”
