In early January we welcomed our fantastic customer City & Guilds film crew to our Wellingborough head office, with the aim of supporting their million extra apprenticeship campaign.
We were approached to tell our apprenticeship story and help promote the many benefits of utilising youg people in the workplace helping them kick start Apprenticeship week from 6th-10th February.
We have had nine apprentices in our hq in the last three years and still have seven of them with us today who work with City & Guilds and our training provider to help see results.
We delighted to be part of such an interesting film which followed the day to date of our exhibition stand team- showing highlights from our production including sewing, graphics, welding and carpentry. The cameras told the stories of some of our key apprentices- Andrew Charlton from welding and fabrication, Laura Hart, Customer Services within Marler Haley and Layla Flack, Nimlok, marketing assistant were asked various questions regarding apprenticeships right from the beginning all the way through to the final stages of the course.
To find out more visit our twitter page which has our latest press release available for viewing.
The film results can be viewed http://www.million-extra.co.uk/employ_an_apprentice.aspx or you can hear from City & Guilds CEO Chris Jones at http://www.million-extra.co.uk/resource_bank.aspx who extoles the virtues of apprentices in the workplace.
