We’re delighted that Jagrut Mistry from Loughborough University has joined the award winning design team at Nimlok as part of his work experience through winning our Talent of the Future competition recently.
Through his work experience at Nimlok, Jagrut now has the opportunity to be involved with a wide number of 3D design projects, as well as be able to work with some leading brands.
He is also learning how our 3D architecture works in tandem with our on-stand digital engagement tools, including interactive displays and digital content, to present a holistic approach to stand design.
Jagrut explained what his work placement with Nimlok means to him and his career, “I’m really enjoying my work experience placement at Nimlok. As a designer, the information I am learning is interesting and worthwhile to my personal development. ”
“The placement is proving to be very interesting experience as a whole, working within the design department of Nimlok has given me a greater insight into the process of 3D exhibition design. Having the opportunity to be involved in professional design projects is always worthwhile to my personal development as a designer, seeing these projects being manufactured has also proven to make the experience much more engaging. ”
“My expectations of the placement were vastly exceeded as I have received great support from a talented, friendly and hard working design team. My knowledge of the exhibition design industry has grown and has allowed me to understand how it’s a fast pace industry where quality has to be delivered promptly. From this placement I look to build upon the design skills that I will learn during my time at Nimlok and take this on board as a highly valuable experience. ”
As well as this fantastic opportunity for career development, Jagrut was also awarded with his prize of L250. The giant cheque was presented to Jagrut by Lewis Field, head of design at Nimlok.
Jacrut is working with Lewis’ team of designers in Wellingborough.
Jagrut’s exhibition stand design
Jagrut’s exhibition stand design was first shortlisted by a judging panel of industry experts for our talent of the future competition with two other stunning designs. The finalists designs were then shared on our blog and the public were given the opportunity to decide their winner via a poll.
With hundreds of votes cast, Jagrut won with the majority vote and was declared the winner.
We hope that during Jagrut’s work experience with Nimlok that he will enjoy the opportunity to develop his exhibition design skill set further and gain some valuable knowledge to fuel the start of his career in the events industry!
