Our customers are marketing professionals responsible for their company’s presence at exhibitions across the world. With over 200 competitors, our prospects are inundated with lazy, simplistic and tired marketing techniques, against which Nimlok strives to be different, deploying a much more sophisticated approach and team.  With a unique proposition that directly addresses client’s need to deliver greater results (usually leads) for less investment (typically in the stand production), Nimlok are well placed to challenge the status quo with their unique formula of bespoke hire stand delivery, combined with engagement technology to drive more conversations.  These two major differentiators require clever sales handling, hence the high calibre of people we require to convey our message.

As well as being capable of a sophisticated sales call, we also need techy savvy individuals to master our cutting edge marketing and CRM systems to maximum effect.  This isn’t “one hit wonder, telesales” it’s a nurturing process using high quality data, tools, and skills to deliver high quality results.

Extensive ongoing training is key to this role and will include internal and external sales coaching, system training and crucially market training with regular visits to exhibitions.

Key responsibilities:

Utilising the data placed into our CRM system by the Nimlok Marketing Team, the principal role of the Inside Business Developer is to develop pitch opportunities by contacting and nurturing these prospects before setting appointments for our New Business Managers.

In addition to your success in delivering the desired appointment rates, the successful candidates will also be required to accurately and consistently update our CRM system to ensure that prospects remain contactable and to enhance each client record with further information, sales notes and an enhanced picture of their activity (Our CRM links prospects to our database of exhibitions).

The ideal Inside Business Developer:

This role requires you to have successfully undertaken a similar call based sales position. You will possess strong influencing and organisational skills, but also display the aptitude to package what makes Nimlok different in a very intelligent, concise and compelling way.  Aside from a proven track record in a telesales, you will display excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, be highly organised and able to manage own time effectively to ensure the job gets done – even under pressure.

Experience of working in exhibitions, or having sold to a marketing audience would be beneficial, but not essential providing you display the desired levels of intelligence, ambition and personality.  You will also receive the benefit of time on the road with our New Business Managers (attending some of the appointments you set for them) in order that you can understand the positive effect you can have on our sales pipeline. In addition, you will receive one on one guidance and coaching from the Head of New Business who will develop you into a highly credible industry expert to enhance your results to the highest possible degree. This will include time together in the office, but also out at events where you will be taught about the nature of the exhibition floor to broaden your appeal with prospects.

In return we can offer a competitive basic starting salary and OTE (depending upon experience) + benefits including: Pension with employer contribution, Health Care scheme and Death in Service.  Core working hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:30.
