As the new Bond movie is blasting its way through box-office records, it’s time to obliterate the Spectre of mind-numbing conferences.
The Festival of Marketing 2015 at London’s Tobacco Wharf (11-12 November) is bigger, bolder and brighter than ever, and Nimlok is at the heart of the dynamic action on the show floor.
Our campaign message, Fuel your Exhibitions, is so high-octane, 007 himself would happily take it to heart.
Visitors to Nimlok’s Stand 41 will be taken on a digital driving journey around an imaginary event planner’s desk. Complete the journey in under 60 seconds for the chance to win an Aston Martin driving experience (and no, before you ask, you can’t leave the iconic motor to sink in the river Spectre-style!) Scores will be shown on a leaderboard to sort the super-spies from the sloths…
The Festival of Marketing is a unique networking opportunity, as the atmosphere enables marketers to lower their guard and explore their business needs – they usually leave with a list of ones they never knew they had!
We are determined to maximise the experience for marketers and exhibitors, by shining new lights on how to enhance their programme, with:
Every visitor wants to make their boss smile when they return to the office and we’ll show them how to pack that all-important ‘return on investment’ in their metaphorical goodie bag.
We’ll also be using the festival for inspirational nuggets to propel our own marketing and social-media strategy further into orbit. With 12 stages, 200 speakers from A1ber brands (Barclays, O2, Virgin Media, Coca-Cola, need us to go on?) and 160 hours of content, there’s never been a greater chance to look, listen and learn.
Headline acts include East London’s billionaire entrepreneur Lord Sugar, star of TV’s The Apprentice, whose talk Dear Marketers – You’re Not Fired! will involve an exploration of why he has finally become convinced of the true value of marketing for his most successful brands. Phew, that’s a blaady relief!
Another must-see is Monica Lewinsky, once famous for allegedly ‘not having dalliances’ with US President Bill Clinton, now a renowned social activist. In her talk Patient Zero, she will address brand compassion, digital reputation and survival. She should know.
Factor in astronaut Chris Hadfield talking about pressure, a first glimpse at some extraordinary innovations, wall-to-wall marketing movers and shakers to nominate for an award (or maybe even chat with over a drink) …
To get inspired for this year, why not look back at last year’s highlights – things are only going to be bigger and better this year!
If James Bond were to design events, the Festival of Marketing is exactly how they’d be.
