Nimlok expands global delivery capability with new partnership in China

As our clients continue to look to new markets outside those served by Nimlok locations in Europe, US, Canada and Australia, we continue to expand our network of Rest of World delivery partners. In these locations where shipping a stand isn’t viable, Nimlok has established local fabrication and installation partnerships with vetted local contractors who can offer clients a quality Nimlok design and build experience but with the financial advantage of local supply.

Nimlok Ltd’s Managing Director, James Rook, fresh off the plane from Shanghai commented: “In response to increasing customer demand and building on the success and expertise we’ve gained with our partnerships in Dubai, South Africa, Singapore and India, China was next on our list.

“In terms of vetting partners it’s been our toughest assignment yet with lots of ‘seemingly’ credible companies (on paper) who, actually in the flesh, are hiding some of worst production environments and standards we’ve seen in our industry.

China Nimlok Trip, diggers tear up exhibition stands “We only ever work with partners if we have personally vetted their facilities and are assured first-hand of their quality as well as their employee and environmental records, which in several of those we visited, were truly horrific and only served to re-enforce why we don’t risk a judgement based on a company’s website and email communication, as sadly so many in our industry do.

“Finally after kissing many “frogs ” we’re delighted to have found a partner in whom we’ve complete confidence. Not only a fantastic facility with production equipment to rival our own, but also a great team with a culture of stand storage and re-use similar to ours that is so rare in China.

“Our visit also included a trip to the New Shanghai Convention Centre where in the central outdoor area between the halls I saw a stark example of how serious the environmental issues are with stand contract in China.

“The picture shows hundreds of custom fabricated stands that have been dragged out of the halls and crushed with diggers! With such a low standard of fabrication you can see why re-use isn’t common, but I’m pleased to say that our partner’s facility is full of beautifully finished client stands carefully crafted for future redeployments.

“I look forward to delivering our first project in China this autumn when we’ll also have one of our project managers vetting several suppliers in Korea in October.”
