Diane Walton, HR Manager at Nimlok has been awarded her Chartered Fellowship of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development). The CIPD is an industry recognised body and Fellowship status acknowledges significant expertise in HR knowledge, strategy and practices that contribute to any thriving organisation. For the individual, Chartered Fellowship is clear recognition of their leadership role, status and strategic position. For the organisation it is a clear assurance that they have the services of a professional HR leader and manager who adheres to CIPD Policies and Code of Professional Conduct and who works to recognisable expert standards and criteria. On achieving the Chartered Fellow status Diane commented: “I would recommend that all HR Managers who meet the relevant criteria apply for this status The CIPD are more and more involved in developing and influencing government policies regarding business and employment issues and gives its members many opportunities to influence key decisions about important people issues. Here at Nimlok we have always encouraged staff to broaden their knowledge in their chosen fields and it sets a good example to the staff that Senior Managers are also achieving externally recognised qualifications as well as doing their day job. For the investment of the time required working towards this status, it gives a valuable and great reward to me personally and to my employer. It’s a wonderful feeling and I feel totally re-energised”.
