The Brief
Exhibiting at The Bett Show aimed to boost the visibility of the Sync brand through a captivating stand journey for visitors, supported by engagement solutions that successfully facilitated post-show meetings for Sync team.
Sync, a reputable reseller of Apple products in the education sector, tasked Nimlok to design a visually appealing stand while integrating analytics and engagement tools to track visitor dwell time, stand engagement and visitor leads (conversion into a meeting). Measuring the success of the exhibition stand (which has not been done on Sync’s past stands) was a crucial component for the team to measure the ROI and success of the leads acquired from the show.
Our Response
After visiting the Nimlok showroom, Sync aimed to create an engaging journey for delegates visiting their stand. They also wanted to measure the success of this journey through analytics supported by engagement. Sync was keen to implement an engagement solution measurable through visitor interaction rather than opting for a non-branded hired option.
After experimenting with various engagement services at Nimlok HQ, Sync implemented coin slot integration and RFID onto their stand. Nimlok designed a variety of branded books relevant to their business. These books housed RFID readers and were displayed on a bookcase. Upon interacting with the Sync team, visitors were encouraged to select a book from the bookshelf and place it into the reader. The adjacent screen brought the case study to life!
This engaging RFID presentation not only added an element of fun but also allowed visitors to select a book and witness the case study in action. For the coin slot integration, Nimlok enhanced the conventional coin slot design by integrating three LED strip lights behind the coin box to display the results instead of using the conventional screen results, this provided an innovative twist to the presentation. Participating in the coin slot integration was also incentivised for visitors as every vote cast, £1 was allocated to The Guide Dog Association.
Assisting visitors to navigate around the Sync stand enabled the team to highlight every aspect of their educational business model and showcase their core USPs. Visitor’s journey around the exhibition stand was assessed through heatmapping which pinpointed the areas of the highest on-stand activity. This essential data was shared with the Sync team and partners (post-show) to review the stand layout and refine future plans for product placement, stand location and activity times. Additionally, Sync introduced a smaller stand at the Bett Show for higher education called Ahead By Bett. Both stands featured identical bespoke graphic designs, making them easily recognisable to visitors.
The Results
During the busy three-day event, the Sync team effectively engaged with just under 4000 visitors, averaging a 12-minute dwell time per interaction. The visually designed stand, creative graphics, engaging solutions and credible team contributed to a successful presentation of Sync as a reputable Apple product reseller in the educational sector.
This achievement aligns perfectly with their goal of showcasing their brand at the world’s largest education show.
