Artwork upload
Artwork needs to be uploaded at the time of your order. This is done on the checkout page.
File formats
Nimlok accept file formats in: Hi-Resolution PDF’s, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. We do not accept: low resolution PDF’s, Quark, Freehand, Coral Draw, Word, Excel. Powerpoint and Publisher.
Images and scans
The resolution for images and scans need to be no less than 72dpi at the final output size.
Compression
If possible do not use compression (eg: LZW or JPEG). If for some reason you need to compress a file, please ensure the file name includes the LZW or JPEG.
Embedded images
All images must be supplied as linked files for Illustrator and InDesign documents. Embedded images are not acceptable.
RGB to CMYK
Please ensure all images are supplied in CMYK not RGB.
Pantones and corporate colours
If your artwork uses Pantone colours that must be accurately matched when printed, please inform us. This entails manipulation of the CMYK breakdown that makes up your colours. The same applies if your artwork contains corporate colours. If so please post any relevant brochures/letterheads etc when submitting your artwork. Your first requested colour match is free of charge, any additional matches thereafter are chargeable at £25.00 per colour.
Fonts
Please include all fonts when sending the artwork. Alternatively outline your fonts.
Logos
Please supply logos as vector files from Illustrator or Freehand. Vector files are not resolution dependent and can be enlarged almost limitlessly.
Document set up
Please supply all artwork at 1/4 size.
