CAD Technician
CAD Technician
Location: Office-based (Nimlok HQ)
Type: Full-time
Do you enjoy turning creative ideas into build-ready reality? Nimlok is looking for a CAD Technician to support the delivery of high-quality exhibition stands and branded environments. You’ll play a key role in transforming concepts into precise technical drawings, CNC plans, and graphic templates ensuring every project is ready for production and installation.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings for exhibition stands and environments
- Translate creative concepts into detailed technical drawings for fabrication and installation
- Create CNC machining plans and component layouts for workshop production
- Prepare graphic artwork templates aligned with print and installation requirements
- Ensure all drawings comply with venue regulations, organiser guidelines, and industry standards
- Support project teams with technical problem-solving throughout design and build stages
- Maintain drawing records, revision control, and organised file management systems.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience using CAD software (Vectorworks desirable)
- Background in technical drawing for fabrication, construction or manufacturing
- Understanding of materials, production processes and CNC machining
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Take full responsibility for the day-to-day activities of the stores team.
- Oversee goods-in, goods-out, storage, and stock control processes.
- Manage and maintain inventory using ERP and production planning systems.
- Monitor team performance, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
- Support Health & Safety, quality, and environmental compliance within the department.
- Respond proactively to last-minute operational requests.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and overall output.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Set up and operate CNC machinery to produce components to specification
- Select and prepare materials for machining
- Produce accurate, high-quality components in line with technical drawings
- Carry out quality checks to ensure all outputs meet required standards and tolerances
- Perform routine machine checks and basic maintenance
- Work closely with design and production teams to support project delivery
- Manage your workload to meet production deadlines
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Identify and flag any issues, contributing to continuous improvement
- Follow all health & safety procedures and workshop standards
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience operating CNC machinery
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good Maths and English skills
- A proactive, team-focused approach
- CAD/CAM experience
- Experience within a similar industry

AGF makes a real difference in Haiti, supporting communities through education, loans, and building projects — all in memory of Andrew Grene, a UN worker who tragically lost his life in the 2010 Haiti earthquake.
