Lloyd's Register
Lloyd’s Register is an organisation that helps make sure ships, engineering systems, and other big industrial projects are safe and reliable. They inspect and certify ships, offshore structures, and energy systems to make sure they meet safety and environmental standards. Their work helps protect people, property, and the environment around the world.
The Brief
Lloyd’s Register asked Nimlok to create bespoke exhibition stands for exhibitions in Asia and Europe. For Singapore, one stand was designed to focus on generating sales leads, so it needed to be eye-catching and invite people in to learn about their services. Whilst the other stand was more about politics, public relations, and networking, it had to create a welcoming space for conversations and building relationships. All the stands were visually striking to attract visitors, continue to increase the brand and service awareness, and create leads.
The Lloyd’s Register team turned to Nimlok for a dynamic creative session. Our Account Manager and designer welcomed them into an inspiring collaboration, where ideas flowed freely, and every detail was carefully considered.
Together, they explored innovative concepts, navigated show regulations, and refined their vision to ensure that the exhibition stands not only met the brief but also delivered a seamless and cohesive brand experience across both events. The result? A striking presence that reinforced Lloyd’s Register’s identity while maximising engagement at each show.
Our Response
All the stand designs had striking pelmet work as the base structure to marry the designs together. Using the LR logo and eye-catching LED channels, we were able to carry on the classic LR look and feel from previous exhibition stands we had provided to Lloyd’s Register.
For both Singapore events, we utilised our trusted locally based partners for the manufacturing and installation of the stands. This approach was more sustainable as we avoided shipping materials from the UK.
With some of the stands, we utilised bold LED screen walls for targeted content to be displayed at the shows. This allowed LR to stand out in a bright and meaningful way, this also provided the perfect backdrop for photo opportunities and contract signings at the event.
Alongside this, at Sea Asia, we created stations using plinths and mounted screens for the LR team to provide on-stand demonstrations and capture sales leads.

Engagement
Touch Table Kiosks
At Marintech, Posidonia, and SMM, LR used interactive touch tables and kiosks to showcase OneOcean. These aided sales discussions and provided a self-service option for visitors to explore LR’s services. Participants could also request additional information post-show.
Bespoke Booking System
At SMM Hamburg, Lloyds Register hosted multiple speaker sessions on their stand. To help with the organisation of these session we created a bespoke booking system which allowed LR to invite attendees and send out reminders when each session was due to begin.
Split Screen Animations
At SMM Hamburg, LR had a feature wall which consisted of 3 screens surrounded by LED channels. The Nimlok team helped provide a split screen animation to show over these screens to capture attendees’ attention.
Analytics
The LR team utilised Nimlok's exhibition stand analytical sensors to track the footfall and dwell times on their stands. This allowed the team to see that their average engaged dwell time for visitors was an average of six minutes across their shows.
Graphic Design
Our Nimlok in-house graphic design team have collaborated closely with the LR team in creating all their artwork across all the stands we have provided for them. This consistent partnership has allowed the team to become experts on LR branding and provide a consultative approach in how to display their branding across the stands.
